As an independent contractor and consultant I offer a wide variety of services to meet each client’s business needs.  My knowledge of computers ranges from PC repair to SQL Server development.  Below is a list of services that I offer.

.: Development Services

I have a wide range of experience in developing professional databases, Excel/Word templates, Basic HTML sites and large scale automation.  All items developed are based on user needs and requirements to ensure the item meets or exceeds each client’s standards.  In addition, I am available to provide professional advice throughout planning and development to make sure that the completed project is exactly what the client had in mind.  This input from the technical/developer perspective is particularly helpful for clients who may not have a strong technical background but have a solid idea of what the need their software to do.

.: Database

My two main methods for database construction are: Access for the entire system or Access as the front-end with SQL Server as the backend.  Regardless of which method is implemented all databases run with proper table structuring and always have simple and intuitive user interfaces.  Database features include the following:

  • MS Access Security
  • Custom Switchboard
  • Custom Menu Items
  • VBA Code for All Items (no macros)
  • VBA Code for Most Queries
  • Professional Reports (client logo on all reports if requested)
  • Split Database
  • User Requested Specialty Features
  • MS Access 2003 or 2007 Run-Time Files (if client not currently have Access installed)

 

.: Automation

Using Foxtrot technology, I am able to build scripts to update or extract large amounts of data into Excel/Access/CSV, etc.  Below is a list of information sources that can be readily extracted.

  • Internet and Intranet
  • Windows Based Applications
  • Mainframe Host Sessions (aka Green Screens)

 

In addition to building these scripts, I can provide training to show clients how to best utilize their automation as well as how small modifications can allow one automation to be used for several similar processes.

Zip Code Module for Access.

The ZipCodeModule for Access was built to allow you to reference a zip code table for use in your current systems. This module has example code, example database and links to all variables created.
